Our Elopement

How we got here:

We simply decided it was time. We've been together for almost 12 adventures years. Through those twelve years we've navigated so many different chapters and experiences. When we talked about what our perfect day looked like, the picture was very clear. It would be lowkey and as relaxed as possible. We knew wherever we ended up having our ceremony we needed to check a two boxes off:

- the beach (this has always been our happiest place)

- a picture worthy place

Cape May was able to not only offer that, but exceed it as well.

We spent 3 days in Cape May where we had absolutely perfect October weather, ate excellent food, saw the most beautiful sunsets, BBQ'd, had a bonfire and truly just enjoy each others company.

The morning of included a bagel and coffee run. There was no real time crunch, we had breakfast, danced, laughed and then parted ways to get ready. Khalil wanted to honor a first look at the courthouse and that's exactly what we did.

That first moment seeing each other was nothing short of perfect. If you know Khalil, chances are you know he isn't afraid to show emotion. The love and admiration on his face was something I will never forget. We had a quick, beautiful courthouse ceremony and then galivanted around Cape May with our amazing photographer Reagan.

We had private vows on the beach, had a few shots at Congress Hall and ended the afternoon with matching tattoos. We had some down time where we relaxed, ate cake, and got to see another beautiful sunset. We had an amazing dinner and ended the night back at Congress Hall for a nightcap.

If you made it this far, we love you and thank you for reading about our special day.

We cant wait to celebrate with you in a few months.
